BONK 3: BONK´S BIG ADVENTURE (HUDSON SOFT / RED)

SUPER CD-ROM 2 (ENGLISH VERSION)

"Every system needs a mascot." This is a credo followed by almost all video-game-systems.
After Nintendo's famous Mario Brothers (still not retired;-) and Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog came Bonk, or PC-Kid, as he was well known in Japan. Bonk is NEC's lovable "moody" Stoneage kid, that "uses his head" while making his way through fantastic side-scrolling prehistoric worlds.

Bonk 3 was first released on Hu-Card. Shortly after came the CD conversion, only released in the US. Beside more vibrant and atmospherical music remixes you even get a two player simultaneous mode, which is quite a unique feature for side-scrolling jump'n run games. To take a break from the action it even includes a few seperate versus-contests like "head-butt"-volleyball.

The most funny and "striking" thing about Bonk beside his "head banging" ability are the size and mood change candies which sometimes give the game a nice little strategical touch.
Using these humourous "gimmicks", it's really fun to make your way through Bonk's world, defeating all kinds of crazy little enemies and some really weird big end of level bosses.

If you like jump'n run games and the Bonk series, you can't miss this one and only CD conversion of this unique jump'n run game featuring NEC's favourite mascott. Although graphics unfortunately weren't redone for the CD conversion, it really adds some fun to the original gameplay with its two-player simultaneous and versus modes and really nice CD-music re-compositions of the original soundtrack.
